Google may have confirmed the launch timeline of Android 15

Google has reportedly confirmed the launch of Android 15 , the highly anticipated next major OS update. While Google Pixel smartphones typically lead the charge in receiving the latest Android updates, even debuting alongside new phones, this year saw a departure from tradition. The Pixel 9 series launched earlier than usual, pre-installed with Android 14 rather than the expected Android 15.

According to a report by Android Authority , the Android 15 update will be released in October. The report also notes that the reason for this is that the update is still not ready. It is to be noted that Android 14 was released in October along with the launch of Pixel 8 series .
According to the publication, Google changed the release notes for the Android Beta Exit update. This update is pushed to devices that opt out of the Android beta program. The company is said to be optimising the final build of Android 15.

Notably, the new Pixel smartphone series comes preloaded with the latest OS, however, this year, the Pixel 9 series arrived almost two months prior to Google’s annual hardware ‘Made By Google’ event that generally takes place in October. Notably, Pixel 9 series shipped with several new AI features.
